Last night for Detroit Restaurant Week, Dave, Jess, Natalie, her Dave, and I checked out Opus One. It was delicious!
(I apologize for the pictures – the light was not great).
Jess got the Ciroc de la Glace martini.
I got the Fuzzy Peach martini. Aren’t the glasses neat?
Dave, Dave, and Nat got mojitos.
Jess got the: Lobster Bisque (Garnished with lobster saffron ravioli and fresh chives)(description from their menu).
Nat and I got the: Chilled Shiitake Mushroom and Vegetable Spring Roll (Served with Ponzu and sweet and hot dipping sauces).
Dave got: Chilled Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna (Served rare with wasabi aioli and pickled ginger).
Not pictured: Nat’s Dave got a Caesar Salad.
Nat’s Dave got: Pan-Seared Salmon with Shaved Apples, Fennel, and Bacon.
Nat got the: Pan-Seared Fillet of Arctic Char (Presented on grilled vegetable couscous with a spring pea coulis and micro greens salad).
Dave got the: Grilled Peppered Loin of Australian Lamb (Served with spinach risotto and a Dijon mustard sauce).
Jess and I got the: Spice Rubbed New York Strip Steak (Served with a potato mushroom hash, baby green beans and a red wine demi-glace garnished with angel hair onion rings).
And if that wasn’t enough, the third course was:
Trio Chocolate Mousse (Three layers of dark, milk and white chocolate with fresh berries and raspberry sauce).
Crème Brûlée (Classic baked vanilla custard topped with caramelized sugar and fresh berries).
It was such a great meal – good food and good friends.
