Finished Quilt

Finished! Finally!

This is the biggest quilt I’ve made yet – queen-size! It’s also the first quilt I’ve made with the intention of putting it on my bed and I’m super excited about how it’s turned out 🙂

It’s the 12+2 quilt from Oh, Fransson! It’s also made with the fat quarter pack from Fabricworm that was bundled for the 12+2 quilt.

Almost as soon as I had put it on the bed, Joie jumped up and started rolling over the whole thing. It’s definitely cat approved!

Tomorrow I have hand surgery to remove a cyst that may or may not (but probably was) caused by stitching through my finger earlier this year. Fffuuuunnnnn!

Fourth of July Weekend

Oh man, I know I’ve been late on blogging a lot of things, but since the Fourth of July weekend was only last weekend… and it’s only Friday.. I feel like I’m not as late on this one. Maybe?

We had a great weekend. Adam and Anne were in town, so we had them over with Jeff, Ty, Jedire, Toma, Natalie, and her Dave for a bbq on Sunday. Dave pulled out his trusty camera and photo-documented most of it 🙂

And the real fun began when people started making trips down to the photo studio Dave cooked up in the basement.

And in a moment of genius, someone said they felt like they were sitting for a school picture… and someone else suggested how awesome it would be to use those special school picture backdrops.. remember those ones with the lasers?

It’s “ask and you shall receive” apparently in our house, because Dave lovingly crafted these ultra special, school photographs:

That’s all for now. I’m hoping to finish a quilt soon… emphasis on “hoping” – but as soon as it’s done, I’ll post some pictures. Promise!
